The Certified Angus Beef ^® brand is the world's first and most successful beef brand. No other product compares. That's because we require superior standards for marbling, tenderness and leanness. And to ensure completely unbiased approval, Angus-type cattle are evaluated by the USDA, not in-house graders or plant employees. Less than 8 percent of beef can earn the distinctive Certified Angus Beef ^® brand.

The Certified Angus Beef Program was formed in 1978, allowing the American Angus Association to strengthen relationships between beef producers, packers and distributors. Their goal was to provide assurances of beef quality and flavor for consumers, who during the 1970s were largely dissatisfied with the beef available. Today, the Certified Angus Beef ^® brand is sold in the United States and in 50 international destinations. The CAB^® brand is the industry's oldest and most successful brand.

Why was your auction ended?

The Certified Angus Beef ^® trade name and marks are owned by Certified Angus Beef LLC and are protected by federal trademark laws. These marks include the certification mark, the logo, the three-word trade name (Certified Angus Beef ^®), CAB^® , and the tag lines Clearly a Matter of Taste^® and Angus beef at it’s best™. Additionally, all photographs contained within our websites, www.certifiedangusbeef.com and www.cabfeedlots.com are copyright protected. While anyone may purchase Certified Angus Beef ^® product for its quality, only establishments that sign a trademark license agreement are permitted to use the Certified Angus Beef ^® trade name or marks in promoting the products. Your use of these marks is prohibited since you have not signed a licensing agreement with Certified Angus Beef LLC. We developed this licensing system to maintain integrity of the trademarks and to ensure that they remain valuable assets to our company and all licensed participants.

Certified Angus Beef LLC has a history of strong, committed efforts of 25 years in marketing the Certified Angus Beef ^® brand, and as a result of these marketing efforts, customers associate the terms “Certified Angus” with the product being the Certified Angus Beef ^® brand. As owner of the Certified Angus Beef ^® federally-registered trademarks we take exception to, and will send notice of advisement to, anyone who uses the term “Certified” and “Angus” in the same descriptive phrase when representing their beef products, because use of these terms with beef products creates confusion regarding the source and origin of the product.

If you received notification from eBay that your auction was removed due to trademark infringement, you must remove all infringing materials from your auction listing prior to posting it again. We will pursue all legal means necessary to protect our trademarked and copyrighted materials. We frequently monitor eBay auctions and will send notification to any seller using infringing materials in their auction listing.
